This style of dress prouchbox and belt were worn by officers of Hussar and Dragoon regiments during the Napoleonic period.
A distinctive feature of these styles of bouch and belt is the elaborate embroidered face to the bouch box and the gold or silver lace to the belt.
Constructed in a slightly curved box style, with cloth lining and faced with fine morocco leather. The front flap has an elaborately embroidered cloth face, often with laced edges.
Silver or gilt rings to mount the box to the belt.
A curved marocco leather belt, laced with gold or silver and a three piece buckle set. Stud and flap ends for mounting the belt to the box.
