1830's Pattern Cartridge Box

British cartridge  pouch  used  prior to  the 1844 pattern box.
The  introduction date  is not known ad this example  is based  on surviving late 1830's examples.

Black leather box contruction with 'eared' internal  flap.  Tin tray with  3 compartments.
Tinned brass roller buckles and  large stud closure below.

White buff shoulder strap  for  2 3/4" wide  strap

Approx 9 1/4" wide, 3 3/4" deep  and  4 1/2" high. 11" wide front flap

(Possibly  introduced  post 1824 with the change to  a wider 2 3/4" shoulder strap)
