Leather Bayonette Scabbard with Finial & Hook

Unlike later pattern bayonet scabards, earlier pattern styles were worn  with  the socket pointing  inwards.

This early version is made with  naturally dyed oak bark leather with a butt stitched rear seam

The top  mounting  is a single hook and a bottom finial tightly bound into the leather.
